AB  - We developed an endovascular coil that is instantly detached by high-frequency electrical current. By applying the electrical current, a polyvinyl alcohol junction between the coil and the delivery wire is disrupted by heat within a second. This detachment system was shown to be reliable in the treatment of experimental aneurysms.
