Note:—Initially, DSA measurements were performed in a status of normocapnia (mice breathing room air; time point 0′). Dilation of cerebral arteries was measured 15 minutes after induction of hypoxic hypercapnia (time point 15′). Finally, constriction of cerebral arteries was measured after breathing oxygenated room air (time point 30′).
