Axial and coronal FLAIR sequences of the brain (A and B) demonstrate patchy FLAIR hyperintense signal within the pons and middle cerebellar peduncles, right greater than left. Axial postcontrast T1WI (C) demonstrates no associated enhancement. Sagittal STIR sequence (D) demonstrates long segment longitudinal hyperintense signal spanning the length of the thoracic cord, without associated enhancement on the postcontrast T1-weighted fat-saturated sequence (E). Axial T2-weighted image through the mid-thoracic cord (red arrow, F) confirms H pattern of T2 hyperintense signal involving the cord central gray matter.
