Axial T2-weighted MR images of the head (A and B) show fusion of posterior frontal lobes with a normal separation of anterior frontal and occipital lobes (white arrows). A single abnormal Sylvian fissure has a vertical orientation and spans both hemispheres (yellow arrow). There is a single ventricular cavity with hypoplastic frontal horns (purple arrows) and absent septum pellucidum. Coronal T2 MR views (C and D) show hypoplasia of the olfactory bulbs (black arrows) and azygos anterior cerebral artery (orange arrow).
Sagittal T2-weighted (E) and T2* (F) views demonstrate a dysgenesis of the body of corpus callosum (red arrow), with a normal splenium (green arrow). There is a midline interhemispheric fissure lipoma (blue arrows). The basal ganglia and thalami (*) are separated.
