Dental Implant Migration
- An uncommon but well-described complication of dental implant
- Clinical Presentation: Nonspecific. Toothache, sinusitis, headache, facial pain have been described. Sometimes, such migration remains asymptomatic and is only noted "incidentally".
- Key Diagnostic Features: Presence of hyperdense metallic foreign body within the paranasal sinuses, often maxillary sinus. Filling defect seen at the site of the previously placed implant.
- DDx: Any other foreign body
- Rx: Surgical removal
