A 67-year-old man with type II diabetes mellitus and ischemic heart disease presents with recurrent episodes of visual disturbances and transient weakness of the right side of the body with slurring of speech.
A 44-year-old man presents to the emergency department due to a fall where his “legs gave way” and he was unable to stand up again. He has a 6-month history of dragging his feet and numbness of the soles of his feet. He also has burning and numbness spreading up his legs to his thighs, which began around the same time. Clinical examination is normal.
A 56-year-old woman with left hemicranial headache, aphasia, and right hemianopsia later associated. Multimodal CT and initial lumbar puncture are normal. During admission, several MRIs and an arteriography are performed (shown below).
