This multisite study found that the consensus DSC-MRI acquisition protocol confirmed the utility of standardized rCBV (srCBV) to identify biologically active, treatment-naïve brain metastases as distinguished from normal-appearing white matter and GBM. The data demonstrated that brain metastases of different primary origins have srCBV values that in general are significantly greater than normal-appearing white matter but significantly lower than srCBV for GBM.

This clinical report identified the spectrum of MRI characteristics and pathologic patterns of myxopapillary ependymomas. Histopathologic analysis identified a microcystic pattern in larger tumors and a solid pattern in the 4 smaller tumors. The findings suggest a possible association between cases with drop metastases and cases of large tumors with a microcystic pattern.

In this study, patients’ individual risk factors, intensity, and extent of cerebral vasospasm associated with poor functional outcomes after endovascular treatment of aneurysmal SAH. Analysis showed an association of higher age, higher Hunt and Hess grades, the occurrence of rebleeding, and bihemispheric vasospasm with unfavorable outcome (mRS 3-6).
